Hailed as a cult British designer, Nigel Cabourn has worked in the industry for over forty years producing collections, not influenced by ‘fashion’ trends but driven by inspirational stories of real people in history and vintage military, outdoor and work wear pieces.
A key piece to the collection, the WW1 Sheepskin Jacket was first designed and manufactured by Leslie Irvin in the late 20s. Taking one of his original jackets as an inspiration, Nigel has interpreted this iconic design for AW15 and included details, such as the orange painted under collar, to produce his own unique version. Using soft brown sheepskin for the main body and horse leather trim on the seams and pockets, this jacket is a timeless and highly collectable piece.
